Meeting America's top destinations: Business and interior ongoing efforts to increase visitation

America
This month, more than one million visitors from across the country and around the world came to our national capital, the Cherry Blossom trees that bloom every spring to see some of the most valuable cultural monument in America. Purchase tickets for meals in restaurants in the area to stay in hotels, the visitors infusion of millions of dollars into the company and support the local economy.
As we look for ways to grow our economy, we can not be ignored, tourism as a source of economic opportunity. According to the Ministry of Commerce released earlier today, tourism spending grew by 8.1 percent in 2011 and also supports 103 000 jobs, a total of 7.6 million jobs.
The main factor in the increase of foreign visitors to our country in 2011 was 2.5 million more foreign visitors to the United States over the previous year. These foreign visitors spent on the all-time record $ 153 billion to the U.S. travel and tourism related products and services.
As these figures show, travel and tourism is one of the most important engines of our economy, indeed, it is our number one service export. That is why President Obama recently announced the creation of working groups for travel and competitiveness, leading our efforts in support of recommendations for national travel and tourism strategy that will be traveling in the United States the development burden.
We know that it even easier for America's most beautiful places to visit and work hard to make people aware of what is a great place for America to say - whether you are traveling five miles or 5000 that will help grow our business and job creation.
America is a land of outstanding natural beauty and incredible sights, from the Grand Canyon and Yellowstone to the Golden Gate Bridge and the Empire State Building. We are all here and have something to offer visitors to our nation.
With more than 397 national parks units, 556 National Wildlife protection, and 886 units of the national system landscape, focusing on strategies to increase tourism and employment is to support the visit of our national treasures. From hunting, fishing, hiking and exploring our nation's incredible history and cultural heritage, public land and water, many opportunities for recreation, they can attract tourists from across the country and around the world.
To this end we are always at work, by highlighting the possibility of tourist destinations and travel of international trade missions to support. In fact, our department is hosting the third meeting of the interagency task force for the full increase in the afternoon to review progress in developing a national strategy and to discuss the arrival in the United States in the coming months.
We will not be trying to find new ways to increase the prestige of our country's most famous destinations in America and more attractive for visitors from around the world.
Expansion of tourism is just another way to boost the economy this government will last.
